Catrin Jonsson comes to SJW Golf Fit from a background in allied health and education. As a junior Catrin rose to elite level in both golf and volleyball with a representative career in her native Sweden.
After studying in the US, Catrin moved to Sydney to live and immediately immersed herself in the fitness industry. Teaching fitness classes all over Sydney she realised that she wanted to learn more and as a result undertook study in sports massage as well as a Bachelor of Health Science followed a few years later by a Master in Ex and sport science from Sydney University.

Professionally Catrin has been active in private practice as a massage therapist, where she has looked after athletes across many sports.

In the lead up to the 2000 Olympic Games she was a Medical Service Provider to Olympic Athlete Program (OAP) and worked almost exclusively with elite athletes in the following sports:

• Swimming
• Sailing
• Track and Field
• Gymnastics
• Wheelchair Basketball and Tennis

She looked after the Swedish National Sailing Team as they prepared for the 2000 Games and was part of the Medical Team for the 2000 Olympic Games where she was posted with beach volleyball and sailing.

Catrin also did work with Soccer NSW and NSWIS Basketball for a couple of years that included going away on training camps with both teams.

More recently her focus has been on her clinical practice and the education of students in health science degrees as well as the training of future massage therapists.

Catrin has been an integral part of the development of educational content for massage specific units for Study Group and their many colleges around the world.

Her professionalism, extensive knowledge and passion for all sport and exercise, injury prevention and rehabilitation makes her a great addition to the team.
