Coming after a long season in football, especially coming off the off-season program I had a lot of strength in the weight room such as squat, bench, core. However I was experiencing pain in the right knee. I wasn’t understanding where it was coming from. With Simon I was able to find out where it was coming from and where the deficiencies were to make it stronger.
How was the assessment?
The assessment was really helpful because from the assessment we were able to identify where the deficiencies were i.e. my ankle mobility was terrible. My hips were tight and didn’t internally rotate. All of which were putting stress on the knee. So we addressed that from the assessment.
How was the process to correct everything?
Ha, it’s been tough but it hasn’t been too complicated. Working on the ankle mobility, a lot of single leg work , no weights included, so it’s given me the ability to mobile I can do them wherever I please, I travel a lot, whether I am at home or a friends house I can just find a wall and do my exercises.
What benefits do you feel?
The benefits I feel right now are… I feel like I have a brand new knee. I feel comfortable sitting with my knee, I feel stronger single leg stability, my running motion has been corrected which has given me back that burst of speed I used to have. My power as well, I feel stronger within my legs, I’m getting the strength from the right places so that’s the main thing.[/fusion_text][/one_full][/fullwidth]
